Louisiana Closes Out Non-Conference Schedule Against UC Santa Barbara

Ragin' Cajuns, Gauchos meet for second time in school history

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team closes out its non-conference schedule on Sunday when it plays host to Big West Conference member UC Santa Barbara at the Cajundome.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9 FM, ESPN 1420 AM and the ESPN 1420 app. The game will also be available on ESPN+ with live results available at CajunStats.com.
 
Fans can "Be A Student Again" and sit in the Ragin' Cajuns Student Section for Sunday's game against UCSB and upcoming games against South Alabama (Jan. 2) and Troy (Jan. 4) by purchasing tickets for just $6.
 
Louisiana (5-7) returns to action for the first time since an eight-day Christmas holiday break when it dropped a 69-66 decision to Little Rock on Dec. 21. The Ragin' Cajuns are playing the second of a season-high four-game swing at home.
 
UCSB (9-4), making its second trip to Lafayette in school history, has won eight of its last nine games after starting the season 1-3. The Gauchos have won three straight, earning wins over Idaho State, Southern University and Merrimack College.
 
The Gauchos have picked up wins over SWAC members Jackson State, Grambling and Southern, Sun Belt Conference member UT Arlington, along with Division I members Portland State, Merrimack College and Cal State Bakersfield.
