Ragin’ Cajuns are 2-0 at the Cajundome this season
LAFAYETTE – After a convincing victory over McNeese State on Thursday night, Louisiana puts its perfect home record on the line when it returns to action on Sunday afternoon against Southeastern Louisiana.

The contest will be the Ragin' Cajuns' (2-1) third-straight matchup with a Southland Conference opponent, having already faced Sam Houston State (Nov. 10) and McNeese State (Nov. 14). Louisiana is 1-1 in those games.

In its most recent outing, the team used an electric third quarter performance to defeat McNeese State, 75-55. The 20-point margin of victory was the largest over the Cowgirls since 1984.

Junior Ty'Reona Doucet and sophomore Brandi Williams once again stole the show after each contributed 14 points and combined for 12 rebounds against the Cowgirls. Doucet is currently Louisiana's top statistical performer, averaging 13.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while Williams ranks second with 12.0 points a contest.

Southeastern Louisiana (0-2) has opened the season on a two-game losing streak, having dropped games at Houston (78-65) on Nov. 9 and at Southern Miss (62-54) on Nov. 13.

Senior Celica Sterling leads the Lady Lions in scoring at 16.5 points per contest, while Jyar Francis is the only other member of the team averaging in double figures with 13.0 points a game.

The Lady Lions lead the all-time series over Louisiana, 28-17. However, the Ragin' Cajuns have won the last six meetings between the two programs, including a 68-56 victory in the most recent meeting on Dec. 13, 2017.

The Ragin' Cajuns will celebrate Fansgiving during the game against the Lions. Fans are encouraged to bring a canned good to the Cajundome box office, which will be redeemable for a free ticket.
