Louisiana Hits The Road To Face TCU In Non-Conference Battle

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team hits the road for the first time during the 2019-20 season when it faces Big 12 opponent TCU in a non-conference game on Tuesday at Schollmaier Arena.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be available on FOX Sports Southwest and can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9 FM, ESPN 1420 AM and the ESPN 1420 app. Live results will be available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2013-14 after rallying for an 85-80 victory over in-state rival McNeese last Saturday. Cedric Russell and Jalen Johnson combined for 43 points as the Ragin' Cajuns rallied from a 13-point, first-half deficit.

Johnson, in his first season at Louisiana after playing his first two years at Saint Louis, leads the Ragin' Cajuns in scoring at 21.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Russell, who scored a season-high 22 points against McNeese, is averaging 16.5 points on the season with redshirt freshman Kobe Julien (15.0) and Dou Gueye (13.0) scoring in double figures.

TCU (1-0) opened its season last Thursday with an 83-62 win over Southwestern. The Horned Frogs have gone 33-3 in the month of November since the 2014-15 season with head coach Jamie Dixon three victory shy of the 400-win mark in his career.
