@RaginCajunsWT Opens Up 2019 Campaign At Cajun Courts

Louisiana will host Southern and Jackson State on Monday, Jan. 21 and McNeese State on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Tennis opens up its 2019 campaign with three matches over the next two days, starting with a Monday, Jan. 21, doubleheader against Southern and Jackson State, followed by a Tuesday, Jan. 22, later afternoon match with McNeese State (0-1), all at Cajun Courts.
TIMES/FOLLOW: Sunday's matches begin with Southern at 9:30 a.m., followed by Jackson State's first serve scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday's match against McNeese State has a first serve time of 3 p.m. and all three matches will have live stats provided via Louisiana Athletics and the link can be found on the women's tennis schedule page.
RETURNING RAGIN' CAJUNS: Louisiana returns the majority of its squad from the 2018 season that saw the Ragin' Cajuns finish 14-11. Junior Marina Rodriguez Garcia, who led Louisiana in singles wins, with 13 spring victories joins sophomores Floriane Picaut, who finished second on the team in spring singles wins (11) and Dana Radovanovic to round out the most experienced returners from the 2018 squad.
Joining the squad this season is a collection of freshmen, Ai Noa Fabre, Hoda Habib, AK Harvey and Natalia Nassar make up the incoming freshmen class for Louisiana. While junior Milena Achlamov looks to bounce back from injuries that slowed down her 2018 campaign and junior-transfer Clara Mantaux, coming from San Jose State, each look to make a difference for the squad this season.
