LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team continues its fall slate on Friday at the Louisville Cardinal Classic hosted at the par-72, 7,101-yard University of Louisville Golf Club.

Play gets underway at 8 a.m. CT on both Friday and Saturday and at 7:30 a.m. CT on Sunday. Teams will start off of holes one and ten with 18 holes to be played each day.

Sliman's Thoughts
Â
"This a quick turnaround for us, and we are excited with the opportunity ahead this week. We have three players in the lineup that have seen this course last year in competition. This will be a great test as we will face some very solid teams. Ultimately it is our job to compete against this golf course, manage our emotions and commit to our game plan. We are very anxious to see how we respond this week with redemption on our minds."

This year's field features six teams that were ranked in the Golfstat Top 50 at the end of last season including No. 17 Duke, No. 20 North Carolina, No. 23 USF, No. 27 Kentucky, No. 28 Wake Forest, No. 48 Louisville. Charlotte, Cincinnati, East Tennessee State, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Nebraska, ULM and WKU round out the 16-team field.

The Lineup

For the second straight weekend Louisiana will feature Triston Elston, Jack Tolson, Bjorn Gudjonsson, Charlie Flynn and Hudson Dubinski in the starting lineup. Flynn had a strong debut for the Ragin' Cajuns finishing in the top 25 in the rain-shortened Lone Star Invitational.

Louisiana is paired with Lamar, Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State for first round and will start off of hole 10 at 8 a.m. CT. Live scoring for the event is available on Golfstat.com.

Following the Louisville Cardinal Classic, the Ragin' Cajuns will head to Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio for the Inverness Intercollegiate from Sept. 24-25. Louisiana continues the fall slate on Oct. 6-7 at the David Toms Intercollegiate hosted at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
