@RaginCajunsBSB Adds Two For 2019 Season

LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball head coach Tony Robichaux announced on Thursday the signing of Mason Templet and Austin Bradford to a National Letter of Intent for the 2019 season.
Templet, a native of Lafayette, La., is a 6-1 infielder that comes to the Ragin' Cajuns from LSU-Eunice where he helped guide the Bengals to the 2018 NJCAA Division II World Series Championship Series. This season Templet is hitting .394 with 25 doubles, three triples, seven home runs and drove in 69 runs. He also scored 68 runs and swiped 22 bases with a .532 on base percentage and a .630 slugging percentage.
Prior to LSUE, Templet spent one season at LSU seeing action in five games as a freshman. In high school, Templet was twice named a Perfect Game and Max Preps All-American and was also the 2016 Louisiana Player of the Year and first-team All-State selection. Templet helped lead St. Thomas More High School to state championships in 2014 and 2015 and hit .455 as a senior with 40 runs, 27 RBI, nine homers and a .571 on-base percentage. Templet was a two-sport star for the Cougars playing both quarterback and free safety for the football team.
Bradford is a 6-4 right-handed pitcher that also comes from LSU-E where he posted a 5-0 record with a 4.15 ERA in 43.1 innings. He made 25 appearances on the mound including one start while tallying 54 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .213 average. A four-year letterwinner at Franklinton High School, Bradford helped guide the Demons to a 22-6 record and a quarterfinal run in the state playoffs as a senior in 2015.
Bradford and Templet join Caleb Black (Spring, Texas), Nathan Camp (Ringgold, Ga.), Connor Cooke (Sulphur, La.), Colton Frank (Lake Charles, La.), Connor Joffrion (Baton Rouge, La.), Dexter Jordan (Hattiesburg, Miss.), Blake Schultz (League City, Texas), Jacob Schultz (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Chance Stone (Sulphur, La.), Sebastian Toro (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) and Brandon Young (Lumberton, Texas) on the 2019 signing class.
