Ragin' Cajuns, Warhawks meet in SBC hoops matinee
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team opens a three-game road trip beginning Saturday when it visits in-state opponent ULM at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9 FM and ESPN 1420 AM. A live stream of the game will be available at ESPN3.

Louisiana (19-3, 9-0 SBC) extended its win streak to nine games overall and 15 in Sun Belt Conference play dating back to last season with an 81-69 victory over Troy last week at the Cajundome. The Ragin' Cajuns claimed the previous meeting with ULM (9-11, 3-6 SBC) with an 82-48 decision on Jan. 13 and earned an 85-84 victory in last year's meeting in Monroe on Johnathan Stove's half-court bucket at the buzzer.

The Ragin' Cajuns will continue their road trip on Thursday visiting league rival Georgia State in Atlanta before traveling to face Georgia Southern next Saturday at Statesboro, Ga.

• Sam McDaniel, who is ninth in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring, leads the Warhawks with a 15.6 average with Travis Munnings, 12th in the league in scoring (15.1) and 10th in rebounds (6.6) next.
• Freshman Michael Ertel averages 10.6 points per game for the Warhawks, who average 70.0 points as a team while leading the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.380).
