Ragin' Cajuns, Bulldogs Set To Renew Hardwood Rivalry

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team wraps up its season-long, four-game homestand on Saturday when it welcomes in-state rival Louisiana Tech to the Cajundome.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Dan McDonald (PxP) and Scott Brazda (color) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game in the Lafayette area on KHXT-FM (107.9), ESPN 1420 AM and worldwide on RaginCajuns.com with Steve Peolquin (PxP) and Ross Cook (color) providing the commentary.
 
Tickets are available on-line at RaginCajuns.com and the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at the Cajundome.
 
Fans attending both the Louisiana-Louisiana Tech game and the 2 p.m., women's contest between Louisiana and Xavier, can participate in the Holiday Hoops promotion. All fans are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots while kids will be able to make their own ornaments in the Lafayette Roofing Family Fun Zone.
 
Families are also encouraged to wear their Christmas sweaters to the game while families attending the Louisiana-Louisiana Tech game can take their pictures with Santa Claus in the lobby of the Cajundome from 6-8 p.m.
 
Louisiana (7-3) returns to action after a 122-90 victory over Prairie View on Tuesday behind a career-high 27 points from both JaKeenan Gant and Jerekius Davis. Marcus Stroman posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists as Louisiana won its fifth straight game and its 17th straight game at home against non-conference opponents.
 
Louisiana Tech (8-3) won its fourth straight game on Tuesday after a 96-80 victory over Mississippi Valley State. The Bulldogs, who opened the season with a win at Wichita State, earned a 96-93 overtime decision at Stephen F. Austin in their previous road game after starting their road schedule with losses to LSU, UNC Greensboro and Delaware.
 
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series with Louisiana, 69-60, with the Ragin' Cajuns winning four of the last five meetings and 11 of 14 contests at the Cajundome.

GET YOUR PASSPORT
• The game against Southern is part of the "Louisiana Passport," which will recognize Ragin' Cajuns fans who attend all eight of Louisiana's scheduled games against in-state opponents during the 2018-19 season.
• Each game, beginning with the Ragin' Cajuns Nov. 28 game at New Orleans, fans will get their passport stamped at a location to be determined. In-state games for the Ragin' Cajuns include home games against Southern (Dec. 1), Loyola (Dec. 5), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 15) and ULM (Feb. 16), with additional road games slated against McNeese State (Dec. 18), Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 29) and ULM (Jan. 19).
