  LOUISIANA VS. APPALACHIAN STATE |
- For the second time this season, Louisiana will head to Boone, N.C., to take on Appalachian State.
- This will be the fourth time that Louisiana has played App State in Boone.
A RAGIN' CAJUNS VICTORY WOULD |
- Give Louisiana its first Sun Belt Conference Championship since 2005 and it would be the second SBC Conference Championship in school history.
- Be Louisiana's eighth conference championship in program history.
- Punch Louisiana's ticket to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (Dec. 15) for the sixth time in program history, first since 2016 (Louisiana's last bowl appearance).
- Be the first win over Appalachian State in series history.
  ON TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP |
- Louisiana took down ULM (the Ragin' Cajuns seventh-straight win in Monroe, La.), with a 31-28 victory on Nov. 24, to clinch the Sun Belt Conference Western Division and earn its spot in to the inaugural Sun Belt Conference Championship Game.
- The Ragin' Cajuns will take on Appalachian State, who took down Troy (21-10) on Nov. 24 to lock up the SBC Eastern Division and earn the right to host the championship game.
1,000 WAYS TO SAY TREY RAGAS |
- Sophomore running back racked up 115 yards on 23 carries and with a five-yard run in the third quarter, he eclipsed 1,000 yards on the season for the first time in his career.
- Ragas is now the fifth player to have ever run for 1,000 yards at least one time in their career while at Louisiana, with several players reaching the mark in consecutive seasons.
- The powerful running back becomes the first player from Louisiana to run for 1,000 yards since 2016 (Elijah McGuire, 1,127 yards) and it is the ninth-time in school history that Louisiana has had at least one 1,000-yard rusher in a season.
- Ragas becomes the eighth running back to ever hit the mark in program history.
- In terms of how many times the century mark has been hit, Ragas becomes the 11th player to have ever hit the goal in a season during their career.
  6-TIMES THE CENTURY MARK |
- During Louisiana's win at ULM, Ragas rumbled for 115 yards on the ground, giving him his sixth 100-yard game.
- That ties a program record for 100-yard games in a single season by a running back. Tyrell Fenroy did it in back-to-back season, in 2006 and 2007.
- One more 100-yard game this year, and Ragas would tie the overall school record for 100-yard games in a single season set by quarterback Brian Mitchell in 1989.
  KNOCKING ON 1,000 |
- Junior wide receiver Ja'Marcus Bradley has been a consistent weapon for Louisiana throughout the season, and his first quarter touchdown reception at ULM gave him 10 receiving touchdowns on the season.
- That ties a program record for TD receptions in a single season (Dave Oliver [1976] and Donald Richard [1996]) and one more grab in the end zone would give Bradley 11 on the season.
- Bradley leads the conference in touchdown receptions, with the next closest being Marcus Green (ULM) and Damion Willis (Troy) having caught eight this season.
- Nationally, Bradley ranks 14th in touchdown receptions.
  BOUDREAUX NEARS 100 |
- Junior linebacker Jacques Boudreaux recorded a career-high 11 stops in Louisiana's win over ULM (Nov. 24), and is quickly approaching 100 tackles on the season having recorded 83 tackles during the 2018 season.
- Boudreaux, who sits seventh in the conference in total tackles, would become the first player from Louisiana to record 100 tackles in a since season Tre'Maine Lightfoot made 101 stops during the 2016 season.
NUNEZ PASSES DO NOT HIT THE GROUND |
- Senior quarterback Andre Nunez eclipsed 2,000 yards passing during Louisiana's 31-28 win over ULM (Nov. 24). Nunez now has 2,051 passing yards and has tossed 19 touchdown passes this season.
- Nunez becomes only the second quarterback at Louisiana, since 2015, Anthony Jennings (2,178 [2016]), to throw for over 2,000 yards in a single season.
- Nunez's completion percentage through the first 12 games is 65.9 percent which now puts him ahead of Terrance Broadway's school-record of 65.4 completion percentage set during the 2012 season.
  HITTING THE AERIAL TARGETS |
- Louisiana's quarterbacks have been efficient and accurate all season long, with sophomore quarterback Levi Lewis leading the conference in passing efficiency (198.1) and Nunez not to far behind ranking fifth in the conference and 24th in the FBS (152.2).
- Those numbers by Louisiana's quarterbacks have added up to an efficient passing attack with Louisiana sitting second in the conference with a team passing efficiency of 160.4 and that places them eight in the FBS.
- Louisiana only sits behind Georgia Southern (165.9) in passing efficiency, but the Ragin' Cajuns have had 191 more passing attempts then Georgia Southern and Louisiana is leading the conference in completion percentage sitting at 66.1 percent.
  TOP-20 RUSHING ATTACK |
- Louisiana's rushing attack has been a force for the Ragin' Cajuns all season long, and it has placed them among the best 20 rushing attacks in the FBS.
- Through the 2018 season, Louisiana has racked up 230.2 rushing yards per game and that puts them 18th in the country. In the conference, Louisiana ranks third in rushing yards per game. Â
- When considering average yards per carry, Louisiana is averaging 5.7 yards per carry and that puts them in the top-10 in the FBS, coming in tied with App State at 10th.
- The Ragin' Cajuns have scored 28 touchdowns on the ground, and that puts Louisiana in the Top-25 in the FBS sitting tied for 23rd in touchdowns scored.
  FAMILIAR FACES UP FRONT |
- Over the 12 games that Louisiana has played this season, the Ragin' Cajuns have had the same starting five offensive linemen.
- From left to right, juniors Rico Robinson (tackle), Ken Marks (guard), Cole Prudhomme (Center), Kevin Dotson (guard) and Robert Hunt (tackle) have all anchored the Louisiana offense.
- It is the first time since 2014 that Louisiana has had the same starting five offensive linemen through the entire regular season.
- Louisiana is one of two teams in the conference that has had the same five starters in the same five positions on the offensive line this season, the other being ULM.
- Louisiana is one of six teams in the FBS that have had the same starting five on the offensive line this season. The others are Washington State; Ole Miss; Illinois; Hawai'i and ULM.
  GROUND PICK UPS |
- The Ragin' Cajuns, who rank ninth in the FBS in 3rd-down conversions (49 percent) have been using the ground attack to cash in on short third down situations.
- When Louisiana is facing a third down and 1-3 yards to go, both Ragas and Mitchell have come up big. Ragas has converted 10 first downs in the situation (37th best in the FBS) and Mitchell has locked up nine first downs (53rd best in the FBS).
- Mitchell has left no doubt in three of the nine times he locked up a third and short for Louisiana, gaining at least 20 yards or more two times in that situation which is fifth-best in the FBS.
LOUISIANA RUSHES LONGER THEN MOST |
- Through the season, the Ragin' Cajuns have had 13 rushing plays that have gone for 40-plus yards. That places them third in the FBS for rushing plays at 40-plus yards.
- When factoring in rushing plays that have gone over 60-plus yards, Louisiana has had five plays break the 60-yard barrier, and that ties them for seventh in the country.
- Louisiana is one of six teams in the FBS that have had a running play go over 90 yards on the season, joining Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, TCU and North Texas. And the Ragin' Cajuns are one of two Group of Five schools to have had a run go over 90 yards.
