Cajuns look for eighth road win of the season; most since 1999-2000

BOONE, N.C. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team will look to continue its current win streak as it starts the final week of the regular-season on Monday against Appalachian State in a Sun Belt Conference game at the Holmes Center.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3 and can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9-FM and ESPN 1420 AM, along with worldwide on the RadioPup app. Live video and statistics will be available at RaginCajuns.com. After facing Appalachian State (8-19, 3-13 SBC), the Ragin' Cajuns will wrap up the regular season beginning Thursday (March 2) against Texas State before facing SBC leader UTA on Saturday (March 4).
 
Louisiana (17-11, 7-8 SBC) extended its win streak to three games after edging Coastal Carolina, 79-77, on Saturday in Conway, S.C. The victory also evened Louisiana's road record to 7-7 on the season.
 
Frank Bartley scored 19 points to lead the Ragin' Cajuns, hitting a pair of go-ahead free throws with 17.0 remaining. Johnathan Stove added 14 points for Louisiana with Justin Miller scoring 13. Bryce Washington added nine points and 11 rebounds for the Ragin' Cajuns with Jay Wright adding nine points and four assists.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
• Ronshad Shabazz enters tonight's game ranked fourth overall in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring (16.5) and fifth in the league in 3-pointers made per game (2.3). Isaac Johnson leads App State, and is 10th in the SBC, in rebounds (6.7) with Emarius Logan 13th in the league in assists (2.6).
• Johnson is also one of two freshmen in the entire country to lead his team in rebounds and steals (1.2).
• The Mountaineers are fourth overall in the Sun Belt Conference in free throw percentage (.678) and rank fourth overall in assists (14.0).
• According to Ken Pomeroy, the Mountaineers are the 15th-youngest team in the country (336/351).
