Men's Tennis Comes Up Short at No. 59 Georgia State

ATLANTA -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team fell by a 4-0 final at No. 59 Georgia State on Saturday afternoon.
The Cajuns' record fell to 9-8 on the season.
In doubles, the two foes split the first two matches. Georgia State's Zack Kennedy and Jack MacFarlane defeated freshman Arthur Libaud and junior Will Huyton, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles before Louisiana evened doubles at No. 2 as senior Edgar Lopez and junior Eric Perez earned a 6-3 win over Sebastian Acuna and Andrei Andrukhou. Georgia State took the doubles match at No. 3 when Jannis Keke and Felipe Jaworski won 7-6 over the Louisiana duo of junior Coleman Wahlborg and sophomore Vlad Kramarov.
In singles, Georgia State's Jaworski defeated Perez, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6, while Andrukhous won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, over Huyton at No. 3. MacFarlane clinched the victory for the Panthers at No. 5 as he claimed a 6-4, 7-5 win over Wahlborg.
The Cajuns will return to action on Sunday, March 12 for an 8 a.m. match at Kennesaw State.
