LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team returns home to Earl K. Long Gym for a pair of Sun Belt Conference matches beginning Friday when it plays host to Troy in a 7 p.m. contest.

After facing Troy (9-16, 4-7 Sun Belt) on Friday, Louisiana (15-10, 5-6) will play host to Arkansas State (11-16, 6-6) on Sunday at noon. Live statistics and live video (subscription required) for both matches will be available on www.RaginCajuns.com.

This weekend's matches are part of the volleyball program's first-ever Alumni Weekend where all former Ragin' Cajun volleyball players will be recognized during Friday's match before competing in an alumni match on Saturday at noon.

Prior to Friday's match, the Ragin' Cajuns Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be collecting donations and raising awareness for Samaritan's Feet, a non-profit organization with a goal to provide 10 million pairs of shoes over the next 10 years.

The Ragin' Cajuns return to action looking to snap a two-match losing streak as it heads into the final month of the regular-season. Needing one win to match last season's total, the Ragin' Cajuns will play five of its final seven matches at home before competing in the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Nov. 21-23 in Troy, Ala.

Louisiana split in its matches earlier this season against Troy and ASU, falling to the Trojans in straight sets on Oct. 4 before securing a straight set victory two days later against the Red Wolves, the first win for the Ragin' Cajuns in Jonesboro since 1992.

Four players lead a balanced offensive attack for Louisiana, which leads the Sun Belt Conference in service aces per set (1.32), is third in hitting percentage (.216) and fourth in kills per set (12.83). Lavinia Tataran averages a team-high 2.77 kills per set for the Ragin' Cajuns and is followed by senior Tonice White (2.42), Sara Mossakowski (2.40) and Kaylee Nemeth (2.20).

Setting up the offense is Andrea Hole, who is third in the Sun Belt Conference with 10.27 assists per set. Taylor Meade, who needs five service aces to tie Alisa Smith for fifth-place in school history, leads the Sun Belt Conference with 0.33 aces per set with Mossakowski fourth at 0.30.

Caitlyn Auxilien, the Ragin' Cajuns libero, spearheads a defensive unit that is fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in digs per set (15.18). The Mandeville native is fifth in the conference with 4.36 digs per set and is followed by Hole (2.92), Tataran (2.53) and Mossakowski (2.17).

Up front, freshman Chanelle Gardner leads the Ragin' Cajuns with 79 blocks while White is next with 57.
