Cajuns Tee Off at Prestigious Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas - The Ragin' Cajuns men's golf team is set to tee off at the prestigious Border Olympics for the first time since 2008. The two-day event starts at 8 a.m. on Friday at the Laredo Country Club.
The Cajuns are coming off of a sixth place finish at the 27th Annual Louisiana Classics. Senior Philipp Fendt has been pacing the team finishing in the top-10 in five of his last six tournaments.
The Border Olympics field includes host Houston, No.31 Baylor, Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Kansas, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Rice, Southern Miss., Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, UTSA and Virginia Commonwealth.
Andrew Noto, Brandt Garon, Chris Weninger and Yohann Vora are slated to join Fendt at the Border Olympics. Live scoring can be found on GolfStat.com by clicking here.
