Softball Opens Home Portion of Fall Slate on Saturday

Lafayette, La. – The nationally ranked Ragin' Cajuns softball team continues their fall portion of the season on Saturday, October 13, as they open their home schedule against Lamar.

First pitch in the “RUN TO THE ROAR” game is set for 1:30 p.m. at Lamson Park on the campus of the University of Louisiana.

Admission is free to the public.

In conjunction with the “RUN TO THE ROAR” game, fans are encouraged to bring a new or used fielders glove. Gloves will be collected at the main entrance and distributed to a local youth organization. Cash donations will also be accepted.

This weekend's game against Lamar is the first of six games the Cajuns will play at Lamson Park this fall. The National Professional Fastpitch All-Stars come to town next weekend for a 7-inning game against the Cajuns on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.
