>>>Louisiana and Middle Tennessee are playing for the 17th time in the history of the two programs on Saturday night. UL seeks to snap a six game regular season Sun Belt losing streak and its first ever win against the Blue Raiders.
>>>The Ragin' Cajuns fell at Western Kentucky on Wednesday, 49-45. The loss dropped the Cajuns to 5-9 on the season and 0-2 in Sun Belt play.
>>>Krystal Motley added another impressive night in her senior campaign. Motley scored 24 points on 4-of-8 shooting from downtown, while grabbing five rebounds and adding two steals. The senior scored a career-high 17 second half points as the Cajuns fell just short in their comeback attempt. Motley leads Louisiana in scoring averaging 12.8 points per contest this season.
>>>Junior Josie West scored five points and had two blocks, while pulling down a career-best nine rebounds against Western Kentucky. West is averaging 5.8 points and five rebounds in the last five games.
>>>UL had five players play at least 20 minutes against the Lady Toppers. The team has six players averaging over 20 minutes a game on the season.
>>>The Cajuns have struggled on the boards after losing their top two rebounders Rotibi and Johnson for the season. UL was outrebounded 51-32 on the glass on Wednesday against WKU.

>>>The Cajuns out shot Western Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon. The game marked the first time UL has had a better shooting percentage than its opponent in the last four games.
>>>The Ragin' Cajuns won the turnover battle for the second straight game against WKU. Louisiana forced the Lady Toppers into 26 turnovers and have forced 49 turnovers the past two games.
>>>UL was outrebounded on the glass for the second consecutive contest on Wednesday. Western Kentucky owned the rebounding advantage 51-32. The Cajuns are now -6.6 in the rebounding margin for the season.

>>>Josie West has had huge shoes to fill with the setbacks to Rotibi and Johnson. West has averaged nearly six points and five rebounds since the two post players went down.
>>>The Junior hit her fourth three-pointer against Western Kentucky. The four threes are a career-high and she is 4-of-10 on the year from beyond the arc. West hit a combined two three-pointers in her first two seasons.

>>>The Ragin' Cajuns racked up 13 steals for the second straight game. Louisiana is averaging 10.1 steals on the season and rank second in he Sun Belt.
>>>Krystal Motley ranks 12th in scoring (12.8 ppg) and eigth in free throw percentage (.750).
>>>Robbie Brown has 27 steals on the year and is ninth in the conference in steals per game (1.9 spg).

>>>The Cajuns lost “6'4 center Kemi Rotibi to an ACL tear December 16, against Bethune-Cookman.
>>>Rotibi was having a career-year in her senior campaign. She was Louisiana's third leading scorer (8.9 ppg) and leading rebounder (7.2 rpg). She also led the squad in field goal percentage (.517) and was second in the conference in blocked shots (2.1 bpg).
>>>Louisiana also lost Mercedes Johnson (personal reasons) for the year. Johnson was the second leading scorer (9.3 ppg) and second leading rebounder (6.1 rpg). Johnson has 1,280 career points and is the Ragin' Cajuns fourth all-time leading scorer.

>>>The first game between the two schools was played back on February 17, 2001. Middle Tennessee won the affair 77-52.
>>>The Blue Raiders won last year's meeting 84-62. Mercedes Johnson led the Cajuns in scoring with 15 points, while Middle Tennessee made 12 three-pointers in the win.
