Cajuns Sweep Prairie View A&M to Close Out Roadtrip

The Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team capped off their Texas road trip with a 7-0 win over Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas on Sunday afternoon.

“Our guys hit the ball well despite the windy conditions today,” head coach Mark Jeffrey said. “I also thought they did a good job of staying focused in both the doubles and singles after a long weekend. We are looking forward to our home opener in a couple of weeks as we begin a four match homestand.”

Yanick Mandl and Brandon Farine picked up their second doubles victory of the weekend with an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Carl Alberton and Damien Farinola helped grab the doubles point with an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

The Cajuns went on to sweep the singles competition as all five UL players recorded straight set wins.

After taking a week off from dual meet play, the Ragin' Cajuns return to action on Feb. 4 at Noon in the 2012 home opener at Cajun Courts against UTSA.
