The Last Leg: Louisiana is nine games through the current stretch of 10-of-11 on the road which began on April 5 at Rice. The Cajuns are 4-5 during the road-laden part of their 2011 schedule. The final stops take place Tuesday at Cowboy Diamond in Lake Charles against McNeese State and Wednesday at Lee-Hines Field in Baton Rouge vs. Southern.

Home At Last: Good news is that the schedule will have the Cajuns at home for 11 of the next 14 games following the midweek games at McNeese State and Southern. UL opens a seven-game homestand on Friday, April 22 vs. South Alabama.

We Meet Again: The Cajuns go for the season sweep of McNeese State and Southern. UL downed Southern 10-4 at "The Tigue" on March 1 and defeated McNeese State 12-3 last Tuesday.

Robe Watch: Head coach Tony Robichaux is three wins shy of No. 600 as Cajuns skipper.

The McNeese State Series (UL leads 84-61): Louisiana and McNeese State take the field for the 146th time. The series is now tied with UNO for the most played series in Cajuns history. The series has been an annual recurrence since 1988. UL holds a 21-15 edge during the Tony Robichaux Era. The Cajuns have won nine of the last 10 meetings, overall. UL and McNeese meet for the 55th time in Lake Charles since 1972 (Cajuns moved to Division I), with McNeese holding a 32-22 edge.

The Louisiana Sweeps: The Ragin' Cajuns go for their fourth season sweep of McNeese State in the past five seasons. Cajuns swept from 2007-09 and McNeese broke the trend by posting a 5-4 win at Cowboy Diamond on May 18, 2010 to earn a season split.

The Southern Series (UL leads 45-22-1): It's an old series - 68 games old - but only nine meetings have taken place since 1988. A total of 59 meetings were played from 1988 and before. The programs wouldn't meet again until 2001. The Cajuns hold an 8-1 edge in games played in the Tony Robichaux Era. After a brief hiatus from 2006-08, the series resumed in 2009 at "The Tigue". Louisiana has won the last six meetings. The Cajuns won 7-5 on May 11, 2010 in a game that marked the program's first visit to Lee-Hines Field since April 2002.

Terrific Tuesday: Louisiana is 7-0 on Tuesday in 2011. UL puts that streak to the test in Lake Charles in the rematch with the Cowboys.

Exceptional Defense: As of April 10, UL sported the nation's 10th-ranked defense. The Cajuns current fielding percentage is .978. The squad has committed just 30 errors through 1,384 chances covering a 36-game span.

Exceptional Defense, Part 2: Louisiana leads the Sun Belt in fielding percentage with a .982 clip in league play. The Cajuns have committed only 10 errors through 555 chances.

Pitching is the Name of the Game: Cajuns pitching has held the opponent below five runs 23 times in 36 games. In 10 midweek games, the Cajuns have held opponents to five runs or less eight times.

Midweek Lockdown: Louisiana's pitching staff sports a 2.98 ERA in midweek contests, having allowed just 39 runs (29 earned) in 87 2/3 innings of play.

Chasing History: Greg Fontenot has 471 career assists, moving him within 29 of joining Mark Lalande as the only two players in program history with 500 career fielding assists.

The Sun Belt's Best: To no one's surprise the Ragin' Cajuns rank nationally and lead the Sun Belt in average home attendance. In the Week 10 national attendance rankings UL ranked 16th with an average home attendance of 3,306.

Model of Consistency: With the win in the FIU series opener last Friday, UL has now gone 18 consecutive Sun Belt series without being swept by the opposition (dates back to April 2009).
