Cajuns Tennis Finishes Regular Season

The loss caps off a 7-12 season for the Cajuns heading into next week's Sun Belt Championships.
The Cardinals jumped out in front after winning the doubles point.
But the Cajuns fought back in the singles matches.
Yanick Mandl and Carl Alberton won their matches in straight sets. Mandl downed Robert Lee by a score of 6-3, 6-3. The win moves his dual match record to 10-8 on the season and 16-10 overall record.
Alberton came through with a dominating 6-1, 6-2 victory. The win lets the freshman end his regular season at .500 with an 8-8 record on the year.
Carlin Murray tallied the final point for UL, needing three sets to do so. Playing at the no. 1 position, Murray finished of Denis Ermilov 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. Murray went 11-7 in dual matches this season and finished at 13-8 overall.
The Cardinals claimed the three remaining matches to seal the win.
Now UL's squad will look to regroup and set their sights towards the Sun Belt Championships. This year's tournament starts on Thursday, April 21 and will be held in Mobile, Ala.
