The Mean Green (9-3-1, 4-0-0 Sun Belt) outshot the Cajuns (4-8-1, 0-4-0 Sun Belt) 18-6 in the match and had an 11-2 edge in corners.
In the first half, North Texas grabbed a quick 2-0 advantage after goals by Kelsey Hodges in the 14th minute and Michelle Young in the 16th minute.
Katelyn Ross added to the Mean Green lead in the 31st minute when she knocked in a lose ball from a NT corner to make the score 3-0.
Nikki Crocco added a goal for North Texas in the 67th minute when Ellen Scarfone and Kelsey Perlman combined to hit a streaking Crocco in front of the net.
Shelby Isley had a game-high three shots for UL, while keeper Amanda Moorefield posted four saves.
The Cajuns return to action on Oct. 9 when they head to Jonesboro, Ark. to face Arkansas State.
