Cajuns Fall To No. 4 Michigan, 6-0

The Cajuns fall to 9-3 while Michigan is now 4-3.
Michigan would take a 2-0 lead in the third inning. Two singles for the Wolverines and an error by the Cajuns would allow Michigan to score both runs. Both runs were unearned.
In the bottom of the inning, Vallie Gaspard would reach first on single. She would move to second after Melissa Verde grounded out to second. But Gaspard couldn't not reach home plate as a pop fly ended the inning.
Michigan would take a 4-0 lead in the top of the fifth after a two-run home run by Angela Findlay.
Michigan would plate two more runs in the top of the sixth to seal the win.
Gaspard would record the two of the Cajuns' three hits.
Donna Bourgeois would record the loss (3-3) after pitching all seven innings. She recorded six strikeouts and walked two. Of the six runs allowed, only one was earned.
Nikki Nemitz (2-2) grabbed the win after posting 12 strike outs and walking none.
The Cajuns will continue play tomorrow. At 10:00 a.m. CT, UL will face No. 6 Missouri. Later in the day at 5:30 p.m. CT, the Cajuns will take on No. 11 Georgia Tech.
