UL Starts Weekend on High Note

Texas - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team opened up
their final regular season weekend with a 6-1 win over Lamar University Friday
afternoon. The Cajuns improve to 14-6 on the year with the victory.
The Cajuns used a new doubles lineup Friday and it worked
helping the Cajuns jump out to an early 1-0 lead going into the singles.
Neil Schneider and Bradley Bristow competed at number one
for the first time all year and got an 8-2 victory. Piotr Banas and Arlen Domoney teamed up and number two and got an 8-6 victory. Javier Pulgar and Piotr Olechowski got the 8-6 win at number three.
The Cajuns breezed through the singles matches winning
five out of six and doing so all in straight sets.
Banas won 6-2, 6-4 over Maciej Boguz at number one. Pulgar won at number two 7-5, 6-2. Schneider
won at number four 6-3, 6-4. Domoney took care of Dusan Savkovic 6-2, 6-4 at
number five and winning the award for least games played was Yanick Mandl won
won 6-1, 6-1.
The Cajuns return home tomorrow to face Texas-Arlington
at 10 a.m. at Cajun Courts. It will be senior day and Arlen Domoney will be
honored before the match.
