Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team will look to get back to their
winning ways this weekend against Southern Miss and Southern. UL will travel to
Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on Southern Miss, Friday at 2 p.m. Louisiana
will then play host to Southern University Sunday, at 2 p.m. at Cajun Courts.
The Cajuns are 3-3 on the season and will be looking to end
a three match losing streak. UL competed well last weekend against #15 LSU. Even
though the Cajuns lost 4-0, the Cajuns were poised to win two of the last three
matches before the meet was called in order for LSU to get ready for their
second dual of the day.
“Southern Miss has beaten two ranked teams this season, UNLV
and UNO, so we cannot overlook them,” said Mark Jeffrey, “I expect us to come
out and get a victory.”
Jeffrey has announced the following sponsors for upcoming
matches:
On
March 11th - Coyote Blues will be sponsoring with free food and Bells
Sporting Goods for the home match Versus Illinois State at 6p.m.
On
March 12th - City Club at River Ranch will be sponsoring with free
food, and Wilson Sporting Goods will be donating a free racket at 6 p.m.
On
March 23rd Wilson Sporting Goods will be sponsoring the home match
with a free racket.
After the Cajuns play host to Southern on Sunday, the
next three matches will be at home as well. The Cajuns host Illinois State
March 11, Troy March 12 and Alcorn State March 17.
