Bowling Green, Ky.-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns dropped their seventh straight Sun Belt Conference game falling 102-62 at Western Kentucky on Wednesday evening.

A tough first half in which the team shot just 28.6 percent put the Cajuns in a 23-point hole after the opening stanza.

The Cajuns offense struggled early, as top two scorers Alexis Green and Mercedes Johnson attempted just two shots each in the first half.  The pair combined for only four points in the opening 20 minutes.

UL fell behind by double figures in the opening 4:19, trailing by a score of 15-4.  Two baskets from Krystal Motley and one from Johnson helped trim their deficit to 17-10 at the 13:04 mark, but that would be as close as the Cajuns would get.

The Cajuns didn't help themselves get back into the game, turning the ball over 14 times in the first 16 minutes.

WKU dominated on the boards the entire game, holding a 47-36 final margin.

UL was never able to make a run in the second half, as the Hilltoppers started the second stanza with a 9-2 run to build a 55-25 lead with 17:23 remaining.  The WKU lead hit 74-33 at the 10:49 mark.

Green led the Cajuns in scoring with 20 points, while adding five assists and five rebounds.  Jasmine Barnes scored 12 points and had a team-high six rebounds.  D'Mya Clay added 10 points and five boards.

Kenzie Rich and Hope Brown led the Hilltoppers with 15 points apiece.  Four other players scored in double figures, including Amy McNear who had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.  Arnika Brown scored eight points and led all players with 19 rebounds and six steals.

The last time the Cajuns allowed 100 points was a 101-68 loss to Mississippi State on Dec. 16, 2000.

UL returns home to face South Alabama on Saturday at the Cajundome.  The women will tip-off at 5 p.m. as the front end of a doubleheader with the men's team.
