UL Announces Schedule Changes

LAFAYETTE ? Hurricane Ike has altered the plans for the University of Louisiana and its athletics programs.

All classes have been canceled for Friday and all athletics activity for this weekend has been postponed, modified or canceled.

The Ragin' Cajuns football team flight for Saturday's game at Illinois has been moved from the Lafayette airport to Shreveport.

The soccer team has canceled Friday's home match with LSU. The two programs will attempt to reschedule the match. The team is scheduled to travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., on Sunday for a match with Southern Miss.

The volleyball squad was expected to host the Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball Classic at Earl K. Long Gym. That tournament has been canceled. Head coach Heather Mazeitis will make an attempt to reschedule matches with Northwestern State, McNeese State and Nicholls State.

The cross country squad's attempt to begin their 2008 season has been pushed back once more. The squad will not travel to Ruston for the Mook 4 Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech. An attempt to add another meet will be made.
