Ragin' Cajuns vs. Louisiana-Monroe

Lafayette, La. - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns won their 20th game of the season by defeating Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday night by a final score of 58-43.
UL improves to 20-7 (11-4), while ULM falls to 14-12 (4-11). The Cajuns established a new school record for conference victories in a season.
The Warhawks entered the second half with a slim one-point lead, but the Cajuns started the second half with a 17-3 run.
The first basket of the second half gave the Cajuns back the lead. Alicia McDaniel put the Cajuns in front 26-25 just 12 seconds into the second stanza and Yolanda Jones' followed with a basket to give the Cajuns a three-point lead.
UL then took control of the game with an 11-0 run.
Jones second basket of the half pushed the hosts lead to five points, 33-28, at the 12:49 mark.
McDaniel followed with two jumpers and Whitney Dunlap converted a tough shot in the lane to balloon the Cajuns lead to 11 points, 39-28, at the midway point of the second half.
Jones capped the run with two more points to give the Cajuns a 13-point advantage.
After ULM found some offense, UL used two straight triples by Dunlap and another by Onna Charles to help the Cajuns extend their lead, 50-33, with just 6:22 to play.
Dunlap enjoyed a career night with 22 points, playing all 40 minutes at point guard. Jones missed the front end of a 1-and-1 in the final minute and missed out on another double-double, finishing with nine points and 13 rebounds.
The Cajuns shot 52 percent in the second half, compared to 17 percent by ULM.
Nedra Winston led the visitors with 10 points.
The first half was very slow to develop.
The Cajuns took the lead on the first shot of the game thanks to a three-pointer by Dunlap. The lead grew to five points, 9-4, on a lay-up by Charles at 16:03.
As each team struggled to find offense, ULM slowly crept closer.
UL held their edge until the Warhawks took the lead, 19-18, at the 5:59 mark. That one-point lead would stay the same, as each team scored six points to end the half.
The Cajuns will travel to Denver on Sunday to face the Pioneers at 2pm (CT).
