Wins Men's 10,000 Meter Run at Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE - Senior Justin Lemarie won the men's 10,000-meter run at the Louisiana Classics Track Meet here Friday night at the Ragin' Cajuns Track & Women's Soccer Complex.
Lemaire finished with a time of 32:40.24, followed by teammate Chad Campbell in second with a time of 32:52.47. Southeastern Louisiana's Sean Allerton finished third with a clocking of 33:22.37, while Louisiana-Lafayette's Jobie Gisclair, who participated in the event unattached, finished fourth at 33:46.94
Southeastern Louisiana's Resendo Vallejos finished fifth at 35:40.03.
On the women's side, SLU's Mandy Wallace took the 10,000-meter run with a timing of 37:12.52. Nicholls State's combo of Wongani Phiri and Anastasia Jones finished second and third, respectively. UL Lafayette's Suzanne Boudreaux finished fourth with a clocking of 42:52.25.
Field events will begin at 10 a.m. and running events will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Fans are reminded to enter through Gate 1 on the corner of Bertrant Dr. and Reinhardt Dr.
