BASEBALL BREAKS INTO TOP 25 Collegiate Baseball lists Ragin' Cajuns at No. 22

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns' baseball team made their first appearance in the Top 25 Monday as Collegiate Baseball Newspaper listed the Cajuns No. 22 in its latest released poll. Louisiana-Lafayette (5-1), fresh off of a three-game home sweep of Central Florida, entered the 2002 season ranked No. 34 by CBN. After two weekends of play the Cajuns find themselves climbing the polls. It's the Cajuns first appearance in the Top 25 since early last season. UL Lafayette returns to action this weekend in the Coca-Cola Classic hosted by Rice University in Houston. The Cajuns open play with the host and ninth-ranked Owls Friday at 4:30 p.m.
