BASEBALL TO HOLD FAN DAY SATURDAY
Fans and alumni are invited to meet the 2002 Ragin' Cajuns
LAFAYETTE– Fans and alumni are invited to attend the 2nd annual Fan Day forLouisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team being held Saturday, Feb. 2 beginning at11 a.m.at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.
The gates open at11 a.m.and the 2002 version ofLouisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will be announced aroundnoon. Free concessions will be provided for the fans. There will be an area set up for the alumni down the right-field line.
Following the introduction of the 2002 Cajuns, all former players in attendance will be invited to participate in a five inning alumni game.
Immediately following the alumni game there will be a homerun hitting contest and then at3 p.m.the 2002 Cajuns will take the field in an intrasquad game pitting the lefthanders against the righthanders.
The first 500 kids 14-and-under will receive a bat and helmet.
For alumni who are unable to attend Saturday's Fan Day, there will be a weekend set aside for alumni in April. Louisiana-Lafayette has set aside April 19-21 just for alumni. The Cajuns will be hostingNew MexicoStateand all former Ragin' Cajuns and their families are invited to attend. More information will be forthcoming.
