Danielle Rudesill joined the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Volleyball program as the first-ever chief of staff in October 2019.
The Acadiana native, who was raised in Abbeville, brings an extensive background having experience in coaching, administration and marketing in the volleyball arena.
Most recently, Rudesill was an assistant coach at Lafayette-based Teurlings Catholic High School, the sand volleyball director and indoor coach for Cajun Elite and the state’s USSSA assistant director. She also served as an adjunct kinesiology instructor at Louisiana.
From June 2017-April 2018, she served as the elementary athletics director at Westminster Christian Academy. She organized new programs for first through third grade students, spearheaded fundraising events and taught physical education to pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
Rudesill worked with the Ragin’ Cajuns prior to her WCA assignment, serving as a volunteer assistant coach in the spring 2017 semester. Among the primary tasks was marketing for summer camp growth.
Other managerial experience includes serving as the complex manager for Digs Volleyball in Covington, La., from March 2015-July 2016. Her marketing background was enhanced with an internship with Athletic Republic in Mandeville, La., in spring 2016.
Rudesill launched her career in volleyball with student assistant positions at Southern Arkansas University (2012-13) and Southeastern Louisiana (2014-16) prior to joining the staff at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas in August 2016.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies, with a concentration in exercise and sport sciences, from Southeastern Louisiana in August 2016 and obtained a master’s of science in kinesiology from Louisiana in December 2018.
