Junior Season (2003): After sitting out the previous two seasons, Hollie Girouard returned to the court during this season with two years of collegiate eligibility remaining...Hadn’t played a collegiate match since suiting up for the Cajuns during November of the 2000 season under former head coach Chris Campbell...Filled the void at the newly created libero position (UL Lafayette went the 2002 season without a libero)...Saw action in 27 matches and 97 games over the span of the season...Showed no signs of rust after the two-year layoff, piling up a team-high 329 digs...Averaged 3.39 digs per game and reached double-digits in 18 matches....In her first match of the season, she collected 22 digs against in-state rival Louisiana-Monroe...After getting just nine digs against Alcorn State in the next match, she reeled off eight straight performances of double-digit digs...At the Stephen F. Austin Tournament, posted back-to-back 19-dig matches against SFA and Tulsa...Had a string of six straight double-digit dig outings Sept. 20-Oct. 5 including the first four Sun Belt matches of the season...Tallied a career-high 23 digs in helping lead the Cajuns to a 3-1 win over New Orleans on Oct. 30 – a win which helped the Cajuns snap a season-high 11-match losing streak....Followed up the UNO performance with 13 digs against South Alabama Nov. 2....On Nov. 3, was named the Sun Belt’s Defensive Player of the Week...Finished the UNO-USA weekend with 36 digs in seven games for an average of 5.14 per game...Ended the season ranked in the Top 10 of the Sun Belt Conference for digs per game.

2001-02: Did not compete.

Freshman Season (2000): Saw action in 30 matches and 108 games in her first stint with the Ragin’ Cajuns straight out of Episcopal School of Acadiana...Used primarily as a defensive specialist, she tallied 254 digs...Also had 26 aces.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Episcopal School of Acadiana...Was an All-State and All-Acadiana performer during her senior year at ESA...Helped lead the Falcons to four straight state championships during her career under head coach and former UL Lafayette volleyball player/head coach Ursula Quoyeser...Her senior year, the volleyball squad won the school’s 13th straight state title...Her junior season, the Falcons went undefeated against Louisiana schools.

Personal: Born on Jan. 17, 1982 in Lafayette...Daughter of Karl and Juanita Girouard...Has two older sisters – Tammy and Tessie...Is the niece of former Ragin’ Cajuns softball head coach Yvette Girouard...Majoring in graphic design...Is a member of the Culinary Society...Also recruited by Nicholls State.
