Prior to Louisiana: Transferred from LSU. Did not compete in track & field.
High School: Lettered in track & field at Brother Martin High School...Earned All-District honors in the 4x400-meter relay...Helped the Crusaders to back-to-back District and Region Championships in 2008 and 2009....Appeared in the state meet for the 4x200-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay in 2008...During his senior season, appeared in the state meet for the 4x200-meter and the 4x400-meter relay, while also making an appearance in the 400-meter dash.
