2020-21 (Redshirt freshman): Top player off the bench for Louisiana, averaging 6.4 points per game with 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists ... started two games in 24 appearances and averaged 17.3 minutes ... finished 36 percent (32-for-89) from behind the 3-point line and 37 percent from the floor (57-for-153) ... earned starts in games against UT Arlington (Jan. 15) and Arkansas State (Feb. 6) ... reached double-figures in five games on the season, with season-best 22 points coming in 30 minutes off the bench in a New Year's Day win over Texas State in the Sun Belt Conference opener ... went 7-for-16 from the floor while making 6 of 12 attempts from long distance in an overtime victory ... scored 18 points, including a steal and buzzer-beating layup in Louisiana's 74-73 win at Texas State (Jan. 30) to finish a weekend sweep of the Bobcats ... went 6-for-7 from the floor against Texas State and was 4 of 5 from long distance to help vault the Ragin' Cajuns into first-place in the SBC West Division ... scored 18 points off the bench with four 3-pointers against LSU Alexandria (Dec. 8) and aided Louisiana on the defensive end with a season-best nine rebounds against in-state rival Louisiana Tech (Dec. 12), helping the Ragin' Cajuns rally from a 16-point deficit ... scored 10 points in the regular-season finale at Little Rock (Feb. 27) and scored 11 points with three 3-pointers in a win over South Alabama (March 6) in the SBC Championships.

2019-20 (Freshman – at Mississippi State): Sustained an injury during the summer prior to arriving in Starkville and appeared in six games … averaged 1.0 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.2 steals per game … scored points in three of his six appearances … made his career debut versus ULM (Nov. 14) … his first career points came on a jumper with 1:24 left of MSU’s 81-56 win at Coastal Carolina (Nov. 24) … added two points and a steal against Kent State (Dec. 30) … scored his first career SEC basket versus Georgia (Jan. 18).
 
High School: A combo guard who prepped under coach Sean Sweeney at Macon’s Stratford Academy … a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com … sharpshooter who is able to shoot off the bounce and off screens … a two-time All-State selection by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association, Hoop Seen and the Atlanta Journal Constitution … averaged 28.0 points per game, a Stratford Academy single-season mark, as a senior … averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game en route to being named region player of the year as a junior … played the AAU circuit with Team Georgia Magic.
 
Personal: Born on November 2, 2000 in Macon … the son of Latashia and Derex Butts … father played at Texas Tech for Gerald Myers during the 1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons, averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in 58 career games … a kinesiology major.
