Also located in the complex is the equipment room, athletic training room, weight room and home and visitor locker rooms for football. The Cox Communications Athletic Complex underwent renovations three times since it was first opened in 1971. The first renovations took place in 1994 with the addition of a new weight room.

In 2003, changes were made to the equipment and athletic training facilities and the football locker room was expanded and renovated. The final renovation came in 2011 when the complex underwent a facelift with changes to the administrative offices and football area.
