History: Located in the Student-Athlete Performance Complex, the weight room opened in September 2015 and is the primary strength and conditioning home to all Ragin' Cajun Athletics. This strength training facility boasts 12,250 square feet of workout space, making it the largest in the state of Louisiana.

The weight room houses:
• 39 Power Lift work stations
• 180 pairs of Iron Grip dumbbells
• 20,000 pounds of Uesaka and Power Lift Plates
• 15 glute ham machines
• 2 Triple Keiser Functional Trainers
• 2 Pit Sharks
• 10 4-way neck machines
• 21x14 ft. medball wall
• 5 4-way cable machines

An additional 2,000-square foot mezzanine with 15 pieces of cardio equipment overlooks the weight room floor. The Refueling Station is directly connected to the weight room, providing athletes with pre- and post-workout nutrition and hydration.The strength and conditioning facility is just steps away from the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility, consisting of a full-length football field with brand new turf and a full length basketball court.
