Louisiana Volleyball Earns 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award

Cajuns post 3.39 team GPA for 2025-26; earn team award for sixth time in school history
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball earned 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award honors as announced by the AVCA on Thursday.
The Team Academic Award recognizes high school, two-year, four-year indoor and beach volleyball programs that maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale in the academic year.
During the 2025-26 season, Louisiana maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.39 on a 4.0 scale. Thirteen student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or above with three earning a 4.0.
The award marks the sixth time Louisiana has been honored with the award and the first since 2021. Louisiana was one of 10 Sun Belt Conference programs to earn the honor.
Louisiana will hold its annual Red and White Scrimmage at Earl K. Long Gym on August 15 at 2 p.m., before traveling to face LSU in an exhibition match on August 22. The Ragin' Cajuns will officially open its 2026 season on Saturday, August 29 against Oklahoma in the Texas State Invitational in San Marcos, Texas before opening their 14-match home schedule on September 1 against McNeese.
