Ragin' Cajuns tied with Georgia State, Georgia Southern for 10th in SBC standings
JONESBORO, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team wraps up the 2025-26 regular season on Friday when it visits Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference game at First National Bank Arena.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will be available on ESPN+ with fans able to listen locally on Classic 105.1-FM and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
Friday's contest marks the second meeting in eight days between the programs. Arkansas State pulled away late for a 79-62 victory on Feb. 19 at the Cajundome.
Louisiana (10-20, 7-10 SBC) enters the finale tied with Georgia State and Georgia Southern Eagles in the Sun Belt standings. By virtue of head-to-head wins over both schools last month, the Ragin' Cajuns hold the tiebreaker advantage and would claim the No. 10 seed if the league tournament began today.
The Ragin' Cajuns, playing without leading scorer Dorian Finister, came out sharp in their last game on Tuesday at Troy, opening with an 11-2 run and holding Troy without a field goal for the first 8:17. The Trojans would rally and pull away for a 78-59 victory. Jaxon Olvera scored 19 points to lead Louisiana with Karris Bilal adding 12.
