Louisiana Faces Former SBC Rival North Texas In MBB Exhibition

Ragin' Cajuns to open 2025-26 season, Quannas White era on Monday at Ball State
DENTON, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team faces former Sun Belt Conference rival North Texas in an exhibition game on Wednesday at the Super Pit.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission to the exhibition is free.

Louisiana, with 13 newcomers under first-year coach Quannas White, officially tip off the season on Monday (November 3) when it travels to face Ball State in the MAC-SBC Challenge. White, a New Orleans native, was introduced as the 15th head coach in Ragin' Cajuns history after spending the past eight seasons on the staff at the University of Houston.

North Texas, coming off a 27-win season, is led by first-year coach Daniyal Robinson, who spent the last three seasons at Cleveland State and led the Vikings to three 20-win seasons.

The meeting between the former SBC rivals will be the first since March 8, 2013 when Louisiana claimed a 74-55 win in the opening round of the 2013 SBC Tournament in Hot Springs, Ark.
