Louisiana (5-1, 2-0 SBC), which was 4-2 at the halfway point in 2023 and 3-3 in 2022, won its third straight contest last Saturday with a 34-24 victory at Cajun Field over App State. Ben Wooldridge threw for pair of touchdowns and added a rushing score as the Ragin' Cajuns remained one of four unbeaten teams in league play while joining James Madison and ULM as the SBC's only five-win teams.

Tyree Skipper and Tyrone Lewis Jr., each picked off a pair of passes for Louisiana, which forced five turnovers and picked off four passes for the first time since 2010. Kenneth Almendares booted a pair of field goals – including a career-best 53-yard kick in tying Stevie Artigue (53, 2015-19) for the most in school history.

The meeting with Coastal Carolina (4-2, 1-1 SBC) will be the fourth between the schools and the second in Conway. Louisiana claimed a 48-7 victory in the previous meeting at Brooks Stadium on November 7, 2019.
