Dates Shifted for Louisiana and South Alabama Softball Series at Lamson Park

Weather concerns prompt change to doubleheader on Saturday and single game Sunday
LAFAYETTE – Due to weather concerns in the Lafayette area on Thursday and Friday, the dates for the Sun Belt Conference softball series between Louisiana and South Alabama have been changed to Saturday-Sunday, April 8-9.

The Ragin' Cajuns (27-10, 8-1 SBC) and Jaguars (25-10, 8-1 SBC) will now play a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday (April 8) and a 2:30 p.m. single game on Sunday (April 9).
Â
Fans should use their original Saturday tickets for entry into the Saturday doubleheader (good for admission to both games). The venue will not be cleared between the two games. On Sunday, fans should use their original Friday tickets for admission (tickets do not need to be switched out).

Thursday's tickets can be exchanged for tickets to either the Saturday or Sunday games, available at equal or lessor value and subject to availability

The USA matchup, originally scheduled to start on Thursday, April 6, continues Louisiana's stretch of conference series that will have implications on the title race. The Ragin' Cajuns and Jaguars will battle for the right to remain near the top of the SBC standings as the league schedule reaches the halfway point.

The entire series is set to be televised on ESPN+, and Ragin' Cajuns fans can follow along with radio broadcasts in the Acadiana region on 103.3 FM The Goat and worldwide through The Varsity Network. Live stats are being provided by CajunStats.com.
