Trio of Cajuns Earn All-SBC Honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Three members of the Louisiana men's tennis team were honored by the Sun Belt Conference on Tuesday as the league announced their all-conference awards. Karlo Kajin cleaned up the awards taking three all-conference honors, including two with separate doubles partners, Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and Vasil Dimitrov.
Kajin earned a second team all-conference nod in singles where he led the Ragin' Cajuns with 12 wins on the year. He won six matches on court four while also picking up a pair of wins on courts three and five.
The senior was named on two separate doubles pairings to the first and second teams. Kajin and Sanchez Gonzalez earned their spot on the first team with a 6-5 record, all on court one. The duo is currently ranked number 72 in the country as a pairing and reached as high as number 51 earlier in the year.
Kajin and Dimitrov made the second team as a pairing after going 5-3, all on court one.
The Cajuns are set to take on Georgia State in the opening round of the SBC Championships. First round action starts at 10 a.m. on Thursday from Peachtree City, Georgia.
