Louisiana Men’s Tennis Hosting the Cajun Classic in October

Return of team’s home fall event taking place at City Club and Oakbourne CC
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis team is set to bring fall tennis back to The Hub City, hosting the Cajun Tennis Classic presented by AMG Specialty Hospital from Friday-Sunday, October 28-30, 2022.
For this year's event, tournament matches are being played at both the City Club at River Ranch (1100 Camellia Blvd.) and Oakbourne Country Club (3700 E Simcoe St.) in Lafayette.
Matches are set to begin at 8:00 a.m. each day. The Cajun Tennis Classic is free to attend and open to the public.
It's the first time since 2019 that the Ragin' Cajuns home fall tournament is held.
Louisiana is set to welcome players from LSU, Nicholls, Tulane, Baylor, Georgia State, South Alabama, New Orleans, Southern Miss, Rice, Tyler JC and SMU for its home fall event.
Players will compete in singles and doubles draws culminating with the championship round on Sunday, October 30.
The championship matches on Sunday (Oct. 30) are being aired live on ESPN+.
