Louisiana Takes Down Georgia Southern, 4-3, in Sun Belt Tournament

Ragin' Cajuns win first tournament match since 2014
LAFAYETTE – For the first time since 2014, Louisiana Women's Tennis has advanced in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament after defeating Georgia Southern, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon in Peachtree City, Georgia.
The Ragin' Cajuns will face Georgia State in the Quarterfinals of the event on Friday afternoon with first serve set for 1 p.m. CT.
Lucie Raquin and Carla Urchoeguia won their doubles match 6-3, but Louisiana dropped the doubles point to give Georgia Southern the 1-0 lead.
Despite the defeat, Raquin and Urchoeguia won their singles matches along with AK Harvey, who locked up a 6-4, 6-3, win to tie the match at 3-3.
Angel Santiago proved to be the hero, winning her match 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 to lock up the win for the Ragin' Cajuns.
