Urchoeguia Comeback Helps Louisiana Take Down Arkansas State, 4-3

Freshman has now won six-straight singles matches
LAFAYETTE – Freshman Carla Urchoeguia continued her stellar run of form, coming from behind to win a three-set thriller and clinch a 4-3 victory for Louisiana over Arkansas State on Saturday morning at Cajun Courts.
Urchoeguia has now won six-straight singles matches, including her last two on Court 4. She is now 6-3 on the year in singles action.
Catarina Zheng and Tanisha Kashyap were dominant in doubles play, taking down Yasmine Humbert and Sofia Vdovychenko, 6-0. However, Arkansas State claimed the other two matches to take the doubles point.
Momoko Yoshimura won the first singles match of the day with a 6-2, 6-0 sweep on Court 5. From there, the team's traded points before Lucie Raquin tied the match with a thrilling 6-4, 6-4 win on Court 3 over Nejla Zukic.
With the match on the line and having dropped the first set, Urchoeguia stormed back in the final two sets of her match to stun Hunter Roper, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, and claim the 4-3 win for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Louisiana will get its first taste of road play in more than a month when it travels to Atlanta to take on Georgia State on Saturday, March 26. First serve is set for 10 a.m. (CT).
