Softball Announces 2022 Home Television Schedule

LAFAYETTE – Fifteen games, including matchups with LSU and Texas plus the complete Sun Belt series vs. Troy, will be available for fans worldwide as part of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team's 2022 home television schedule.

Each of the contests selected for broadcast are scheduled to air on ESPN+, live from Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

The ESPN+ coverage will primarily feature the broadcast partnership of CoSIDA and Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame member Dan McDonald and NFCA, Louisiana Sports and Louisiana Athletics Hall of Famer Yvette Girouard.

The TV schedule begins on Sunday, Feb. 13 as Louisiana rounds out Opening Weekend with a Noon contest vs. Tulsa, immediately followed by the Feb. 15 matchup with Nicholls.

March is highlighted by the nationally ranked matchups with LSU (March 3) and Texas (March 16), then in April a key Sun Belt series with Troy (April 8-10) and Senior Weekend (April 29-May 1) will be broadcast.

Broadcasts of road games will be added to the 2022 Softball schedule page at RaginCajuns.com when announced.

Louisiana, the two-time defending Sun Belt Conference Softball champions and NCAA Tournament participant each year since 1999, begins the 2022 season at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park with the 36th Annual Louisiana Classics from Feb. 11-13 – and is scheduled to spend the entire first month inside or near the city limits of Lafayette.

The official season opener is set for Friday, Feb. 11 with a 4 p.m. doubleheader vs. UAB at Lamson Park.
