Fans welcomed to attend and get a first look at the 2021 Ragin' Cajuns
LAFAYETTE - Louisiana Volleyball returns to Earl K. Long Gym and makes its first public appearance of the Kristi Gray era on Thursday, Aug. 19 when the squad competes in the Red and White Scrimmage at Earl K. Long Gym (500 E. St. Mary Blvd.).
Admission is free and open to the public. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Face coverings are required to be worn by individuals in attendance.
Concessions, consisting of a select variety of drink and food items, will be available for purchase in the lobby area of E.K. Long Gym.
Fan Fest posters, signed by Coach Gray, and schedule cards will be on display for fans to collect.
The scrimmage provides Gray and the Louisiana coaching staff their first opportunity to evaluate the squad in a competition setting prior to an exhibition match at Northwestern State on Saturday, Aug. 21. It's also an opportunity for fans to gain a glimpse of the upcoming fall.
LOOKING AHEAD
Louisiana travels to Natchitoches on Saturday, Aug. 21 for a 2 p.m. exhibition match with in-state foe Northwestern State at Prather Coliseum. One week later regular season play starts Aug. 27-28 in Hattiesburg, Miss., at the Southern Miss Classic beginning with the official season opener vs. Southern Illinois at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 27.
