Women’s Tennis Claims 4-2 Win Over Arkansas State

JONESBORO, Ark. - After traveling back to Jonesboro, Ark., to complete a 2-1 suspended match, Louisiana Women's Tennis climbed its way to a 4-2 win, securing its fourth Sun Belt Conference victory on the season.
This is the first time Louisiana has beaten Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark., since the 2017 spring season.
Furthermore, Louisiana's four Sun Belt Conference wins is the most since the team picked up six in 2011. This includes regular season and Sun Belt Conference Tournament play.
Restarting the match down 2-1, Louisiana needed to perform well to complete the comeback. The Ragin' Cajuns used huge wins from Clara Mantaux, Christina Jordan and Dana Radovanovic to help them get the team victory.
Jordan was down 7-5, 6-2, 0-1, to begin play on Wednesday and battled to a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 win. Including her Texas State singles win, this is now Jordan's second-straight Sun Belt singles win.
Mantaux and Radovanovic also played key roles picking up victories. Mantaux posted a three-set win, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4, and Radovanoivc dominated on the day winning 6-1, 6-1.
Louisiana and Arkansas State will meet again on Saturday in Lafayette for a match starting at 10 a.m.
Saturday's match will be celebrated as Senior Day as the Ragin' Cajuns say goodbye to some of the best players in recent memory with Floriane Picaut, Mantaux, Radovanovic and Jordan all graduating and moving on next year.
