Louisiana Women’s Tennis Hosts Southern for Home Opener

LAFAYETTE – After going 1-1 in its first two matches to open the year, the Louisiana Women's Tennis team is slated to host Southern on Saturday for a match starting at 10 a.m.
Louisiana is looking to extend its win streak against Southern to eight matches. The Ragin' Cajuns have also shutout the Jaguars in three-straight matches by a combined score of 18-0.
Saturday afternoon could be an important match for Stephanie Vallejos, as she is going for her 50th win in the lead role as head coach. With a win, she would be just the third coach in Louisiana Women's Tennis history with 50 or more match wins.
Southern enters the match at 0-1 after falling to Tulane in its opener, 7-0.
