Weber, Kendrick In Top 20 at 101st Louisiana State Amateur

Marler in tie for 16th place; final round set for Sunday
NEW ORLEANS – Redshirt freshman Matt Weber recorded a round of 3-under-par 69 to move into the top-20 to lead a group of seven Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golfers after the third round of the 101st Louisiana State Amateur Championship on Saturday at Bayou Oaks at City Park South Course.
The final round of the 72-hole event will begin on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Live results are available at RaginCajuns.com.
Weber, who moved into a tie for 16th place with a group that includes incoming Ragin' Cajuns freshman Jake Marler (68-74-74-216), posted a bogey-free mark on the front nine and fired a 1-under 35 on the back to notch his second below-par round (71-76-69-216) in the tournament.
Cole Kendrick (70-71-76-217) finished the third round in a tie for 20th place after posting a 4-over par 76. The Natchitoches, La., native was joined in the standings by Ragin' Cajuns alum Andrew Noto (69-76-72-217) with Charlie Flynn (73-77-71-221) tied for 32nd, alum Colin Troxler (74-74-74-222) 34th and alum Seth Dufrene (74-76-74-224) tied for 38th.
Dufrene will tee off at 8:40 a.m., followed by Troxler (8:50), Flynn (9 a.m.), Marler (9:40) and Weber (9:50). Kendrick and Noto will tee off in the same group at 9:30 a.m.
