Louisiana Hosts Annual Andrea Brodhead Foundation Cancer Walk

The mile-long walk will begin at 11 a.m. at the Cajundome on Saturday, Feb. 15
LAFAYETTE – The 2020 Louisiana Cancer Walk, presented by the Andrea Brodhead Foundation, will be held before Louisiana's game against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Cajundome.

Participation in the walk is $10 and includes a t-shirt and a game ticket, while $5 gets participants a t-shirt. Survivors can take part in the walk free of cost.
Â
All proceeds will go towards the Andrea Brodhead Foundation, which funds a scholarship to a University student which is battling or has a family member battling cancer. Donations will also be collected at the event.

Survivors will be recognized during the game on Saturday and are encouraged to submit photos of themselves or of their families to geauxcajuns@louisiana.edu to be shared on the videoboard throughout the contest.

8:30 a.m. - Registration Begins (Cajundome)
10 a.m. - Opening remarks by Coach Garry Brodhead
11 a.m. - Walk Begins (Cajundome)
Noon - Walk Ends (Cajundome)
1 p.m. - Meet and greet with the team
2 p.m. - Louisiana vs. Georgia Southern (Survivors honored pregame)
4 p.m. - Closing Remarks (Following game)
