The Andi Collins Award recognizes the best senior setter in the nation

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball 2020 signee Abby Lynn has been named a candidate for the prestigious Andi Collins Award, which recognizes the best senior setter in the nation.

Lynn, a three-time, first team all-district choice and all-state performer at St. Francis Borgia in Washington, Mo., signed a national letter of intent to join the Ragin' Cajuns in fall 2020.

The award, presented by PrepVolleyball.com, is given in honor and memory of Andi Collins who desired to be the best setter in the nation before passing away on Sept. 4, 2003, one month shy of her 17th birthday.

The winner of the award is expected to be announced in late-January.

All candidates chosen were pure setters with the desire to honor Andi's legacy by choosing an individual who emulated her.

Lynn concluded an outstanding four-year career for St. Francis Borgia by recording 38 assists, 13 digs and four blocks in the Missouri Class 3 championship match, which the Knights won back in November.

She finished her senior season with 702 assists, 122 kills, 255 digs, 53 blocks and 32 aces. Lynn was named First Team All-Metro, First Team All-State, Archdiocesan Athletic Association Large Division Player of the Year and the The Missourian All-Area co-Player of the Year.
